ROYAL COMPLEX (КРАЉЕВСКИ КРАЉЕВСКИ КРАЉЕВСКИ)

In the Dedinje district, a few feet from the city centre, the palace of the Dynastie
Karađorđević, recently reopened, consists of two majestic buildings, the Royal Palace and the White Palace (Beli Dvor). The Royal Palace was erected in the second half of the 1920 s by the King of Yugoslavia Alexander I and served as a royal residence in the Karađorđević until 1941. Built in a Byzantine-Byzantine style, the Royal Palace is now the residence of Crown Prince Alexander II. You can visit the marble interiors, the library, the lounges and the richly decorated reception room. From the palace, a breathtaking view is carried out on the hills of Topčider, Košutnjak and Avala. Built in 1937, the White Palace, or Beli Dvor, hidden in a beautiful forest, is remarkable by its architectural beauty. Its entrance is decorated with paintings of th-century French masters (Chick and millet in particular) and you can see Sèvres porcelain in the rooms. The small and large lounge, Louis XV style, is decorated with Venetian chandeliers and Tableaux and Canaletto paintings. The visit of the Royal Complex must not be missed under any pretext! And if you're lucky, you may be able to meet with Prince Alexander II and his wife who speaks French very well and who never dares to come to meet the visitors.
