Petit Futé's opinion on MILLENNIUM TOUR (КУЛА ЈАНК КУЛА)
To climb to the emblematic monument of Zemun also known as Gardoš Tower, Кула на Гардошу), borrow the streets Gardoš and Strma, charming small streets lined with typical low houses. At the end of the climb is the Millennium Tower, built in 1896, in honour of the 1 000 th anniversary of the arrival of Hungarians in Pannonia. With its red bricks and its Hungarian roof, this tower, a symbol of Zemun, offers a superb perspective on the Danube, on Belgrade and also on the many churches of the old Zemun.
