The village of Cazaux is attached to the commune of La Teste-de-Buch. Lac de Cazaux-Sanguinet is the second largest freshwater lake in France. The village also boasts a superb marina and a particularly rich natural heritage. The forest invites you to take a stroll. A charming canal links the lake to the Arcachon basin. In the landscape, two important sites: a military air base present since 1914 and oil wells discovered in 1959. The other curiosity is the church. Built on the lakeshore between the 11th and 12th centuries, it was demolished, transported and then rebuilt by the local population in its present location.
