The Semnoz, the mountain of the Annéciens, is part of the regional natural park of the Bauges. Its mountain peak, at an altitude of more than 1,600 m, receives enough snow in the middle of winter to set up a family ski resort with 18 downhill ski runs, a snowpark, 46 km of cross-country ski runs and marked snowshoe and toboggan routes, just 20 minutes from Annecy. The largest igloo village in France is set up there every winter and an eco-bivouac takes up residence there for the summer. The mountain is also the place where paragliders take off, where climbing is practiced and where you can hike, ride or bike.
