LE BARRACUDA
Read moreOpened in 1994, this camp features a dozen charming, very clean hard-built rooms with indoor bathrooms, mosquito netting, ventilation and river views. It's definitely one of the best for sport fishing. Amath Mbaye, the owner, knows what he's talking about when it comes to fish. Rods, lines and souvenir photos of fishing trophies clutter the large reception room. The restaurant specializes in fish and seafood. We recommend it!
CAMPEMENT BADJI KUNDA
Read moreThe owner, Malang Badji (if removed from all Diatta Casamance and Badji, it would not be longer high society), is artist- painter. Also sculptor. See its creations, exhibits and creates in camp. You will certainly be charmed by the colours of his works and the charm of the hotel. The restaurant is particularly welcoming. Solar energy and wind mill.
CHEZ HELLÉNA
Read moreMarie-Hélène Mendy, the owner, has 8 rooms, some of which are under renovation. A real heart for this friendly and warm character. The rooms are comfortable, clean and decorated with patina on the ceiling and are ideal for relaxing holidays. Meals cooked by Marie-Hélène are delicious and the proportions can satisfy the greatest eaters. Grilled fish and mafé upon request.
HÔTEL CARABANE
Read moreThis hotel, owned by the diocese of Ziguinchor, which had some 30 rooms, has been under construction for some time now. Only 12 rooms were operational at the time of our visit. All are ventilated, with en-suite shower rooms and mosquito nets. In Building A, on the first floor, each room opens onto two terraces. On one side, a view of the historical remains, on the other, the beach. The outdoor terrace under the palm trees is most charming. It's a pity that the establishment is taking too long to complete its renovations.
