It is a nice getaway in the region and a good opportunity to immerse yourself in the Serer culture. This small village of about 2,000 souls, lost in the land between roasted trees and baobabs, is both authentic, warm and pleasantly quiet. It was founded by an inhabitant of Djilor Djidiack, Nor Ndé Basse, the great-grandfather of Antoine and Songho Basse, who came with his brothers and parents to settle on these lands in 1886. Catholics and Muslims live there in perfect harmony and all occasions are good to celebrate! Don't miss the Sunday mass, enlivened by the sounds of the tam-tam and the tar.
