Toubab Dialaw is a charming fishing village, inhabited mainly by the Lebous and frequented at weekends by the Dakar people. The locality is leaning against ochre cliffs and the ocean appears there, majestic. There is also a long beach of fine sand, popular with surfers. It is said that El Hadj Oumar Tall, leader of the Toucouleurs, came to this beach to make a spring of fresh water with mysterious virtues. Between the artistic space Sobo-Badè and the school of the Sands founded by the famous choreographer Germaine Acogny, Toubab Dialaw is a high place of artistic creation, attracting artists from around the world.
