At the tip of the Nordic peninsula, this desolate site, open to a gloomy-looking rocky cove, often shrouded in mist, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because it proves the existence of a Scandinavian settlement in the New World around the year 1000. In this austere end of the world, the road serves several small, isolated and rocky coves with a few huts. Also, while visiting the national historic site, check out the lively Nordstead site nearby. And if you want to spend more than a day in the area, the Valhalla B&B and its restaurant are highly recommended.
