Ballintoy is a tiny village with a population of just 160, divided into two parts: the market town on the main road, and the little port on the coast. Like many sites in this part of Northern Ireland, the latter has been made famous by the inescapable Game of Thrones series. Indeed, the village was one of the filming locations for the famousIron Islands. The coastline here is magnificent, culminating in the legendary Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, one of Northern Ireland's top attractions. A must-see on any trip to this part of the country.
