This popular resort occupies a lovely site on the edge of Baddeck Bay in Bras d'Or Lake, near the famous Cabot Trail. It has a friendly atmosphere with many restaurants and cafes, including The Freight Shed, which many say makes the best crab cakes in the universe. There are also great lodging options, such as the Inverary Resort, the Broadwater Inn & Cottages and the Dunlop Inn (the Lighthouse room is a favorite). As for points of interest, you should not miss the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site (1847-1922) entirely dedicated to the inventor of the telephone.
