Continuing the road from Guadalupe, located about 6 km away, one arrives on a plateau from which huge baobabs emerge in the middle of the savannah. This is the only area of the island where the vegetation resembles a West African landscape, dry in the dry season and sparse. Five hundred meters further down, before the bend on the right, a track joins the Praia das Conchas, the beach of shells. It is a fairy-tale landscape that awaits you on a golden sandy beach, isolated and bathed in transparent but often turbulent water. Another small cove follows the first one in an equally fabulous, but more intimate setting.
