About 25 km from Libreville, Cape Santa Clara is popular for its white sand beaches lined with coconut trees and its often crystal clear water. Unfortunately, as on the Atlantic coast, the beaches are eroding because of the rise in water level and there is sometimes little space left to put your towel. Nevertheless, the cape remains one of the meeting points of Libreville residents on weekends. Many of them have bought a small shack and spend relaxing moments there, a bit like at Pointe Denis. Even if it is not the splendor of the beaches of Príncipe, one appreciates a day of idleness in a peaceful corner and favourable to swimming.
