Buses go regularly from the Mitad del Mundo to the Pululahua crater. This volcano is today a vast fertile plain from which two chimneys emerge. With Yellowstone, it is one of the only two craters in the world to be populated. A community of farmers lives in the heart of this unique natural environment. Because of its ecological resources and natural beauty, it has been declared a national park and geobotanical reserve. The road ends at a viewpoint overlooking a grandiose landscape: the checkerboard of cultivated plots displaying all shades of green. Mostly from 3pm onwards, the fog slowly invades the plain
