Once forced to work in one of the country's largest landfills, several women are now at the head of the company "Creamos", whose slogan is clear: "I can, I want". Created in 2008, the brand offers bracelets, necklaces and even bags, all made with love and for a very specific cause. Their mission? Provide income, emotional and educational opportunities for women living around the Guatemalan city landfill. More than 10,000 people work in this waste repository today. For the jewellery brand, the idea is clear: all women have the right to financial freedom and the opportunity to improve their lives. Making jewellery out of recycled paper beads, travellers from the Mayan Zone agency recently participated in one of their workshops. This French-speaking agency encourages exchanges between travellers and locals, which allows them to discover stories like this one
