At about 45 minutes drive from Tamarindo, a superb grey sand beach which is suitable for surfing but not for swimming because the currents are strong and therefore dangerous. However, it is surrounded by small beaches that are very suitable for surfing. Very little frequented, its three kilometers of beach will offer you a total intimacy. It is also a beach where leatherback turtles like to lay their eggs from July to November, but poachers are not rare in this period, unfortunately! Of course, the authorities try to curb the traffic but the actions do not seem to be very effective for the moment according to the environmental associations.
