This shrine is particularly important to the people of Siem Reap. This small shrine is located in front of the Grand Hotel of Angkor and contains two standing Buddhas: Preah Ang Chek (the larger of the two) and Preah Ang Chorm (the smaller). They are supposed to be holders of immense powers. The faith of the faithful in these beliefs is palpable. It is necessary to go there in the morning to observe the inhabitants and the pilgrims depositing their offerings.
