South of Phnom Penh is a charming village of bamboo houses on stilts, on a tributary of the Mekong called Kien Svay, also famous for its fish and lobster market. Here, for a few dollars, you can rent a shack for the day. A few vendors on boats come to dock and offer all kinds of food ready to be eaten. This is an opportunity to escape from the hustle and bustle of the capital and get into a completely different atmosphere. You enter the deepest Cambodia, through beautiful small villages where the famous kramas are woven on ancient looms.
