Travel Guide Tengréla

About ten kilometres from Banfora by the R28, via a tar in good condition, we arrive at the village of Tengréla and its beautiful lake known to shelter a population of hippopotamuses.After the walk on the lake, the piroguier also offers a visit to a sacred baobab tree for an additional 1,000 CFA francs, which is donated to the villagers. This experience is not a must, it is only for those who want to visit the small village and meet its inhabitants, because the baobab tree itself is not of particular tourist interest.It is possible to combine the visit of Sitiéna in the same half-day or to combine in a sportive day the waterfalls of Karfiguéla and the domes of Fabédougou (hiking trail between the lake and the waterfalls). It is also possible to take your time and stay one or more nights in the lake's campsites (access by moped, car or on foot), magical!
