Tacoma became the American capital of glass with artist Dale Chihuly in the 1960 s. A majestic museum is dedicated to this fragile and fascinating art. On the other side of the glass bridge, decorated with works by Chihuly, you enter this beautiful building with contemporary design. In addition to the collections, the museum has a very beautiful souvenir shop, a nice café with sunny outdoor terrace, and above all a workshop/theatre where artists work in front of visitors. It is one of the most important glass studios in the country and artists across the continent are struggling to work there. Finally, workshops are open to the curious to try different techniques.

Opening time and information on MUSEUM OF GLASS

Open in summer from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm, Sunday from noon to 5pm; the rest of the year from Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from noon to 5pm. 17 US$ per adult, 14 US$ (senior), 5 US$ (child from 6 to 12 years old).
