MARAIS HALL PUB

Pub

The Marais Pub Hall is one of the oldest pubs on the island of Alderney, located just opposite the old cow market - note the splendid trough in the square. It is a nice traditional pub with a strange decoration, but with very friendly and accommodating staff. It is therefore an excellent place to see the local life of the island and meet the locals! In addition (which doesn't spoil anything), the atmosphere is very good, the selection of beers well thought and the small events rather regular.

DIVERS INN

Pub

On the harbor and with a beautiful view on the beach of Braye, this unpretentious pub (which belongs to the hotel Braye Beach) is an excellent address to relax with a hot or cold drink and a seasonal dish. No great cuisine here, it's true, but an atmosphere always conducive to exchange. In the evening, it's a bit of a meeting place for sailors and port personnel. The atmosphere, very local, is relaxed and moreover, as soon as the weather is fine, you can enjoy the beautiful terrace of the establishment.

THE GEORGIAN HOUSE

Pub

On the main street, this nice pub seems to be the heart of the city and therefore of the island. The adjoining garden makes it an unmissable meeting place during the nice days. The rest of the year, we squeeze in the two main rooms, cosy and very nicely decorated. On the program, beers, good glasses of wine and a large choice of teas and coffees also proposed during the afternoon. A good plan, board games are available free of charge for the days without sun. We like it a lot.

THE CORONATION INN

Pub

The Coronation Inn is the place to be for the "young" in town. This probably has something to do with the fact that it is the cheapest pub in Alderney. Or not... Anyway, here you will see the children of those you met elsewhere, and those dreaming of elsewhere. Quite exotic and funny, we assure you! And the place is warm and cosy. In addition, an adjoining store of wines and other spirits will allow you to do some shopping and to bring back a small liquid souvenir at home. Cheers!
