It is a small village once very rural bordered by a salt pond, which has changed a lot! The cove is better known as the industrial area but it allows "life" in St. Barth: power plant, water production, storage of diesel, and of course the commercial port! The beach is very family oriented and still has a certain charm and is not well known by tourists. The Maya's restaurant is the only one in the area and offers a panoramic view of the bay. The sailing school offers boats for rent. It is also a cultural spot with the Domaine Félicité which retraces the history of the Public district and the life of yesteryear.
