Anse de Toiny represents the wild part of the island, along with Grand Fond. The area is largely residential, with private villas discreetly set against the mountain and the Hotel Toiny blending in perfectly with the landscape. A parking lot near the pebble beach makes it easy to get away for a hike. Here, more than anywhere else, the choice is yours: stroll from the Hôtel Toiny, to the wooden house of Rudolf Nureyev (famous choreographer and classical dancer), to reach the big climb to Morne Tourterelle after Grand Fond. As for swimming, be careful, as the ocean here is always a little rough.
