Unst is where the United Kingdom ends, on its northernmost island. The island can be reached in 10 minutes by ferry between Gutcher (Yell) and Belmont (Unst). Its landscapes are very varied, thanks to its singular geology, and there are both sandy stretches and dramatic cliffs. Part of the territory is dedicated to nature reserves, especially on the Hermaness side. In Haroldswick, you can see the Skidblaner Longship. To the southeast, Muness Castle is a beautiful ruin of 1598, destroyed by fire in 1627. Don't miss the Unst Bus Shelter, a fully decorated bus stop next to Baltasound.
