Five minutes drive from Tarbert, Ceol Na Mara Guest House is situated in a beautiful setting above Loch Kindebig, surrounded by sheep and horses. The views are absolutely superb. The four double rooms are cosy and comfortable, with en suite or landing bathrooms. The whole area is very wooded and bright, as is the friendly guest lounge. Breakfast is a feast of local specialities and dishes, with award-winning produce and excellent Scottish cheeses. The reception is just like the rest: irreproachable.

Established in a former schoolhouse in 1876, this east coast facility is almost on the water. It offers three twin bedrooms with bathrooms and a shared living room. It offers the possibility to eat there in the evening. The food is sourced locally, and sometimes even comes from the vegetable garden and the garden greenhouse. Basket meals can also be prepared on request (provided you stay for at least two days), which will be very convenient for day trips and to make sure you don't miss anything.

The hotel has been run by the Cameron family for four generations and hospitality is one of their qualities. The rooms are pleasant and bright. Located in Tarbert, the hotel is an ideal focal point for day trips to Harris, Lewis and even the Uists in the south. It is also a very good restaurant, where you can eat traditional dishes, prepared with the best local products, with a modern touch. A bar is also open, and it is also possible to eat sandwiches, snacks and others for lunch.
