LOCH LOMOND BIRD OF PREY CENTRE

Animal park and aquarium

More than 35 birds of all sizes live on the shores of Loch Lomond at the Bird of Prey Centre. Owls, eagles, falcons, hawks, buzzards and kestrels can be seen up close and personal in their daily lives. Several species are quite rare and some activities can be reserved in advance. A must for all lovers of our winged friends. Be careful, the openings can depend on the weather conditions.

BALLOCH CASTLE COUNTRY PARK

Parks and gardens

On 81 hectares of wooded nature, this park offers very pleasant walks on the edge and overhanging Loch Lomond and around the castle of Balloch (non-visitable). Three trails - 1.5 km, 2 km and 3 km - are laid out and detailed in the brochure, available on site in season and at the tourist office all year round. The Chinese garden, the French garden and the enclosed garden are all pleasant discoveries, and you can also come into contact with a charming flora and fauna.

At the beginning of Balloch, Sweeney's Cruises lift anchors for several times on the waves of varied durations, as well as the Balloch-Luss and Luss-Balmaha shuttles. LOCH LOMOND SEALIFE AQUARIUM

Aquarium

The famous aquarium chain has an attraction as far as Loch Lomond, with this marine sanctuary of some 1,500 aquatic animals. Through seven themed zones, you can encounter turtles, sharks, octopuses, rays, seahorses, colourful fish and many more. You can also see otters and stroke starfish. It is even possible, upon reservation, to feed the sharks, or to spend a night in the aquarium.
