Dating back to the 19th century, the Pot Still has preserved its beautiful interiors, behind its discreet little green front. The location is ideal for discovering the country's many single malts and whiskies from all over the world, especially as the establishment has been awarded the "Icon of Whiskey Scotland Whisky Bar of the Year 2019" prize, following many others! Also to be tasted: its exceptional pies.

Stereo is coolness incarnate, with vegan food and organic spirits on the ground floor, and nights devoted to house and techno in the basement. The programming is of quality and attracts many aficionados of good sounds. Live performances, between DJ sets, pop and rock, take place several times a week. You will find all the information on their website, with the possibility to buy your tickets online. The hall can accommodate up to 300 people and the building was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh himself.

Inaugurated in 1867 and equipped with a Victorian auditorium, it is one of Glasgow's premier arts and music venues. Glasgow's Theatre Royal performs both renowned plays written by Oscar Wilde and more recent productions. Opera, classical music and ballets by authors such as Dvorak and Tchaikovsky are also programmed. The Scottish Ballet and the Scottish Oprera are regularly performed there. Good to know: children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult, and children under 5 years of age are not allowed.

In a 1970s bar atmosphere, Speakeasy fills up on weekends for its fine selection of bourbon and cocktails. The spirit is intentionally chill-out and food is also available. This very pleasant little place in the South West End is a must in the neighbourhood. Regulars come here to meet, chat and taste one of the nine real ales available, as well as a great range of ciders (almost as much as beer in the UK). On the beer side, we will guide you to taste the one that will soon be your favourite. Gin and whisky lovers will also appreciate the place. It's a great place to hang out, especially during jazz sessions on Sunday afternoons and evenings.

This is Glasgow's premier beer pub, a veritable institution. This gigantic Irish pub is well worth the detour just for its decoration alone. In a maze of mezzanines, halls and staircases, every nook and cranny is enchanting, with wood absolutely everywhere. The gnarled tree trunks that support the vaulted ceilings give the impression of being in the palace of a lost kingdom and one easily spends several hours there, during the day as well as in the evening. Under pressure, we find a few usual stars from the neighbouring island, but nothing very original. The food is very proper.
