This good Indian table has no more reputation to make with the locals in Glasgow. The recipes are completely traditional, with vegetarian or chicken, lamb and shrimp dishes. The map is not huge, but it's a good one and at a good price. Space is limited and it is sometimes useful to book in advance. It is possible to buy take-away, if you do not wish to linger. Like its sister brand in Edinburgh, Mother India in Glasgow has been offering the very best in Indian craftsmanship, with excellent fresh, seasonal produce, since 1990. Fish, chicken, curries, shrimps, lamb, vegetarian and other dishes, everything is seasoned with the flavours of India and the taste journey is assured. In fact, the restaurant has won several awards. The prices are minimal and the portions allow you to taste several dishes and flavours. The interior is quite dark and cosy, with burgundy colours.

You will also have the opportunity to try gin. With the collaboration of The Garden Shed Drinks Co, they have created a gin using botanicals and ingredients found in the chef's kitchen.
