Housed in an elegant 16th-century municipal building, this small attraction traces 400 years of local history and archaeology. History and art are both on display here. The building is one of the oldest and a good introduction to Dunbar's hidden treasures. On the second floor is the oldest council chamber still in use in Scotland. Temporary exhibitions are also held here, on the art or heritage of the region.
