Musselburgh is the largest town in East Lothian, just outside Edinburgh. It takes its name from its seafood culture. The Romans were the first to settle there for military reasons. Over time, it has been overtaken by the suburbs of the capital and even has one of its universities: Queen Margaret University. The main reasons for visiting the city are the golf courses and the Musselburgh Racecourse. Musselburgh is a five-minute train ride from Edinburgh, but you'll have to walk a bit because the station is not in the center. It can also be reached by bus on Lothian Buses services 30 and 45.
