Set in a beautiful building built in 1819, the Apex Hotel in its interior decoration selected some elements of the time, visible in its restaurant and bar. An entire intellectual elite autrefois in this hotel, which included one of the city's most popular ballroom. Today, sophistication is always in place. A trend design redraws the room space, a sumptuous crystal chandelier orne the ceiling of Parrot's Bar and the refined furniture of the restaurant blends elegantly in the luxurious Georgian dining room. Enjoy a swimming pool, spa and fitness room with state-of-the-art equipment. Apex signs a unique alloy between historical heritage and contemporary life.

I really wanted to score this hotel higher as the location is great and the room was really nice. They just let themselves down in a few ways.
We were met at reception by a pretty miserable chap. Can be overlooked, a long day perhaps, weather pretty miserable etc. Two other encounters with different reception staff and I’m sorry to say they were just as miserable.
Nice modern room, comfy bed, had everything we needed. Big plus points were the full size deep bath, powerful walk in shower. Toiletries etc…very good.
However, there was no A/C; stayed on the fourth floor, the corridor and rooms were so warm even when was only 6 degrees outside. Control said 26C and it seemed to work but very little coming through the vent and the little that was certainly wasn’t conditioned. It was balanced by the fact that all three windows wouldn’t shut fully so it cooled at night so I didn’t feel the need to report it.
Upon check out we were asked how our stay was. It was our chance to provided feedback. By the response we received they were clearly not interested when we mentioned the A/C. Suspect they knew it was off. We did say it wasn’t too bad with the windows but they needed repair. Comments were met very defensively. ‘Was I pressing the button on the mechanism properly’ replied yes ‘ well it’s really hard and hurts your hand’. If you ask for feedback I know we’re British, but be receptive to it ????????♂️

My girlfriend and I had the most amazing trip this weekend at the Apex hotel, we had got engaged that morning and on arrival the staff made us feel very special. Georgios was amazing, I have never known such incredible service and the team looked after us very well. Thank you for a brilliant trip, we will never forget it, shout out to Georgios that man deserves a raise!

A beautiful hotel with lots of history. Rooms are modern, comfortable and a great size. Breakfast recommended as its top quality. Spa is good for a city centre hotel, it has a modern feel and a decent size pool. Definitely worth coming to stay as location is great too.
