A few weeks after the Normandy landings, the Allies launched Operation Cobra, while they were entangled in a war of attrition. The event will sound the victorious end of the Battle of the Hedges and will finally open the road to the Liberation. The Normandy Victory Museum proposes the Cobra 44 festival to commemorate the operation, to discover, rediscover and better understand this significant episode of the Battle of Normandy. On the programme for the four days, conferences, projections, animations, among which demonstrations of the Enigma coding machine, dedications, parades of collection vehicles, but also concerts. A very good reason to stop in Carentan-les-Marais on the way to your holidays or for a weekend getaway. More information on the Normandy Victory Museum website.
