Plaza Nueva is a place for many popular events, such as the traditional Mercado de Santo Tomás during the Christmas holidays

Surrounded by 64 neoclassical arcades, the "new square" was completed in 1849 to house the government of Bizkaia. From now on, the Basque language academy (Euskaltzaindia) will be based in its buildings. Under the arcades there are many pintxo bars, shops and businesses of all kinds. Every Sunday, the Plaza Nueva hosts a stamp, coin and bird market that is a popular attraction for onlookers! It is also the venue for many popular events, such as the traditional Mercado de Santo Tomás during the Christmas festivities.

Balade dans la ville
Comme à Madrid Salamanque ... le centre de la vieille ville est occupée par une place piétonnière fermée par des beaux immeubles à l architecture identique avec balcons filants. Une pause très agréable pour un verre ou un repas.

Très belle place qui regroupe tout un tas de bars à pinchos font le Olla dans lesuel nous avons passé la meilleure soirée de notre séjour.
