Traditional Basque cuisine in a restaurant in Bilbao offering alubias rojas con sacramentos.

A restaurant serving traditional Basque cuisine, in a beautiful setting with stone walls and tables with white tablecloths. Every Wednesday (and other days by reservation), they serve an ancestral specialty of the Basque lands, alubias rojas con sacramentos, made with red beans. The chuleta (prime rib) is also a classic of the house. The owner, Julen, is the soul of the place: with his beret and his black jacket, his Basque accent and his good mood, he gives the restaurant a crazy charm! A wonderful address for traditional cuisine!

Malgré une devanture qui ne paye pas de mine, ce restaurant est une pépite. L’accueil est très chaleureuse (espagnol, anglais, français), les serveurs prennent le temps de tout expliquer, la nourriture excellente!!!! Entrée, plat, dessert pour un prix tout à fait raisonnable et on sort bien repu. Petit plus pour le petit digestif basque offert par le gérant. Je vous conseille fortement ce restaurant.
