TOUR OF THE CONVENT OF THE DOMINICAN MOTHERS

Near St. Mary's Basilica, we will discover the humble and magical ensemble of a Dominican convent founded in 1368. In Renaissance style with Gothic and Baroque elements, it is surrounded by various sights of the street: here an ancient tripartite porch, a th century mosaic and a wooden door decorated with steel-coloured motifs… A small regional handicraft concentrate worthy of the greatest masters. Next to the monastery is the oldest construction of Lekeitio: The Torrezar tower, which was part of the old wall of the city, thick nearly 2 metres away.
