The center of Cirauqui(Zirauki in Basque) is built around the gothic church of San Roman: look out for its poly-lobed doors, its Roman altar and its sculpted decorations. Despite multiple transformations over the centuries, the church has kept its fortress-like appearance. The cobbled streets are lined with emblazoned mansions: the name of the owner at the time and the date of construction are usually engraved on the facades. Leaving Cirauqui behind, you will come across an ancient Roman roadway that will take you across a well-preserved Roman humpback bridge whose deck was renovated in 1702.
