Europe's largest agricultural show (Royal Welsh Show - www.rwas.wales) takes place here every July, attracting over 240,000 visitors. You can also visit the friendly little Erwood Station Gallery, which exhibits an eclectic selection of local artists: ceramists, painters, photographers, sculptors... The works are originally presented as if in old train carriages. The station is located at Llechrhyd Terrace, about 3 km north of Builth Wells on the A470. Four trains a day (two on Sundays) run on the Swansea-Shrewsbury line, all operated by Arriva Trains Wales (www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk).
