If you take the A470 towards Newtown, then head up the A483, you'll come across the adorable little village of Berriew, a choice stopover for lovers of peace and quiet. Enjoy the lovely black-and-white houses, the majestic church and the Rhiw River. Picturesque! On site, you'll find a museum dedicated to Andrew Logan, a famous British artist whose works are very accessible, whether you appreciate contemporary art or not. You wouldn't expect to see them in Berriew! But having fallen in love with the town, the artist decided to build his museum on the site of a former squash court that had been put up for sale!
