Or simply Llanrhaeadr. Between Ruthin and Denbigh, the village is a good base for exploring the Clwyd Valley, one of the most beautiful in the region. Home to numerous farms, it's even a good place to discover the local gastronomy. To get there, take bus no. 51 from Ruthin or Denbigh. Saint Dyfnog settled here in the 6th century, on the site of a miraculous well ("Holy Well"), and it was thanks to donations from pilgrims that Saint Dyfnog built the church. The stained glass windows, hidden during the Civil War, are supposed to be authentic. Unfortunately, the tinted windows in the west wing have been destroyed.
