Pronounce "Pouthelli". This small town, whose name means "salt water basin", is a pleasant stopover if you pass by. It is the terminus of the railway and bus line. Wednesday is market day. Pwllheli was the birthplace of Plaid Cymru, the Welsh Nationalist Party, in August 1925 (in today's Pet Shop!). Here, one comes especially for Glân Y Môr Beach, the large sandy beach three miles long. The promenade along the dunes sometimes seems a little haunted because of the long row of buildings sometimes quite gloomy that border it. Numerous possibilities for water sports.
