Small seaside town dominated by Criccieth Castle. It was a popular seaside resort for English families in the early 20th century. The only vestige of this era is the row of Victorian houses lining the coast. Today, the town is much quieter and offers excellent places to eat and stay. In terms of transport, National Express buses serve the city from the north of the country. Many connections between the town and Porthmadog or Pwllheli start at Y Maes. By train, Criccieth is on the Cambrian Coast Line, with direct connections to Pwllheli, Harlech, Barmouth...
