The best accommodations Barmouth (Abermaw)

Built in the late 1890s, this tall, white, tall building almost looks like a lighthouse, with its round tower facing the sea. This Victorian-style hotel offers a refined living environment, with spacious rooms and large windows offering spectacular views, some of which overlook the bay. You can also count on the elegant bar, and on quality catering from breakfast to dinner with its red wine meat, its curry of the day or its choice of desserts including a very good vanilla rhubarb cheesecake.

The elevated location of this house offers superb views of the Cader Mountains, the Mawddach estuary and the sea. Bryn Melyn offers three apartments that are bright and spacious, with all the expected comforts. One apartment for two people, and two apartments for four people. Some are "pet friendly" and accept small pets. Some additional elements are to be shared: jacuzzi, terrace, barbecue... Out of season, a minimum of three to four nights can be requested.

Ideally situated in the heart of the small village of Barmouth, Sunray Guest House offers beautiful views of the small harbour and estuary from the rooms and common lounge. The decoration is rather sober but friendly. Children are not allowed in the hotel. The rooms are cute and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities for the morning. Be careful, the establishment does not offer breakfast, but several cafés offer some nearby. Parking for bikes, motorbikes and cars.

This is probably one of the cheapest addresses on Marine Road, which leads directly to Barmouth Sands, about five minutes walk from the centre. The rooms are well kept and serve complete breakfasts. A very Welsh version with orange juice, cereals, scrambled or poached eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms and more. All with toast of toasted bread and jam, with tea and coffee. A vegetarian version is available for those who wish. Good welcome. Free parking is available nearby.
