At once harbor and rural, Fishguard is a town of character. Built around two bays articulated by thick rocks, its three-part structure is disorientating at first glance. To the west lies Fishguard Harbour, where trains arrive and ferries depart for Ireland. To the east is the city center, overlooking the bay. Behind this "new town", tucked away between cliffs and huddled around the old port, lies the oldest part. You can get from one part to the other by following the Marina Walk along the seafront. From May to September, take bus no. 404 or no. 405 to Cardigan. Out of season, take bus no. 411. Bus numbers subject to change.
