The name Reynoldston is said to derive from one of Gower's earliest lords, Reginald de Breos. A walk to the top of Cefn Bryn hill offers superb panoramic views and leads to the country's best-known dolmen site, Arthur's Stone. The village also boasts an interesting 13th-century church, rebuilt in the 1860s as a fine example of Victorian Gothic architecture. Beautiful stained glass windows, including one on the west side designed by Nathaniel Westlake in 1905. Near the choir stands a 9th-century cross, considered one of the oldest Christian artefacts on the peninsula.
