Fforest Fawr, which means "Great Forest" (it's more of a large expanse of rolling hills), is another favorite destination for nature lovers. Ystradfellte is a small hamlet of farms with a church and pub, and a good starting point for walkers. To the south of the village is Porth-yr-Ogof, where the clear waters of the River Mellte flow into a hole in the rock. From here, a path continues for a kilometer to the waterfalls of Sgwd Clun-Gwyn, followed by two other equally spectacular cascades. It's easy to see why the region is nicknamed "Waterfall Country"!
