As the largest town in the national park, it's here that families and walkers come together to enjoy the great outdoors, and to hike... and bike. Brecon is an excellent place to spend a few relaxing days. We're approaching Pen-y-Fan, the highest point in South Wales at 886 meters. In case of bad weather, you can always fall back on the town's excellent cultural offering: two museums, a cathedral, a quality theater and an independent cinema! During the summer season, when the influx of tourists really starts to make itself felt, don't hesitate to venture out into the surrounding villages. These small hamlets all offer picturesque walks and many other wonders!
