This small town is home to the superb Adachi Art Museum. You can walk around the beautiful adjoining gardens and see a collection of contemporary Japanese art (from 1870 to the present), including some works by the painter Yokoyama Taikan and the ceramist Kanjirō Kawai. If you have more time, check out the beautiful Kiyomizu-dera temple (same name as Kyōto's very famous Kiyomizu-dera), which has a beautiful three-story pagoda and a statue of Kannon. Yasugi is located east of Matsue, on the San-In line.
