COLLINE DU BOUDDHA (CIMETIÈRE MAKOMANAI TAKINO)

This Buddha statue is over 13 meters tall and is known as the symbol of Makomanai Takino Cemetery. Buddha Hill was designed by the world-renowned architect Tadao Ando. This most original visit offers a striking setting, between lavender fields (depending on the season), innovative architecture, striking perspective and spirituality. From a distance, only the skull of the statue appears in the center of the cemetery. It can then be seen from a long concrete tunnel.
