On Honmoku Hill, the beautiful Sankei-en Garden was designed in 1906 by a wealthy silk merchant. The park is home to several ancient buildings that were brought from various parts of Japan, as well as a lake and a 500-year-old three-roofed pagoda. There are also bridges, streams, bamboo groves and ponds. Depending on the season, the garden changes its face for our greatest pleasure. It is best to favour the cherry tree period in March and the momiji in autumn to fully enjoy the vegetation of the place.
