These are the World Poker Championships, a series of extremely prestigious tournaments. Organized in Las Vegas since 1970, they were created on the initiative of the sulphurous Benny Binion. The popularity of the event and the number of registrants have grown steadily, reaching 197,626 entrants and over $347.9 million in winnings in 2023. Patrick Bruel was the first Frenchman to reach the WSOP final, in 1998. Famous athletes such as basketball player Tony Parker and footballer Neymar are also regulars.

Organized by the Southern Nevada Association of Pride, this is the largest annual gay gathering in Las Vegas. The parade route begins in the Downtown district in the late afternoon (around 6 p.m.). Participants make their way up4th Street, converging a few blocks south on the Fremont Street Experience.
