With its seventy or so oceanfront stores, art galleries, cafes and restaurants, this charming little maze of streets has a village feel. Don't miss its beautiful hand-carved 1895 Brooklyn carousel, which has traveled all over the U.S.: Dallas, Texas, from 1904 to the 1950s, then Santa Monica, Portland, Oregon, Burbank, California, and finally San Diego in 2004. If some people see Seaport Village as a tourist trap, it can be pleasant to walk around it during a visit to Downtown.
